Reval is a custom Shopify app that lets your store sell recurring subscriptions charged through Mercado Pago. If you operate in Latin America and want to offer membership plans, product boxes or periodic shipments, Reval is the missing bridge between Shopify and the way your customers actually pay. No Shopify Plus, no Shopify Payments and no platform migration: Reval installs on top of your existing Shopify store and enables subscriptions charged through the payment method your customers already use.

The problem Reval solves

The most popular subscription apps in the Shopify ecosystem —Recharge, Skio, Bold Subscriptions— were designed assuming the merchant uses Shopify Payments. That leaves out the vast majority of Latin American businesses, which process payments with Mercado Pago. The result was a dead end:
  • Shopify knows your products, your inventory, your taxes and your logistics, but it has no native integration with Mercado Pago for recurring charges.
  • Mercado Pago can tokenize cards and execute automatic debit mandates, but it knows nothing about your SKUs, variants, shipping or per-plan discounts.
  • Nobody had built the bridge between the two: until now.
Reval is in production with real customers in Latin America, which means the full flow (subscription signup, automatic charges, self-service portal) already runs in a real environment.

Reval’s three pillars

MP moves the money

Mercado Pago tokenizes the card in the buyer’s browser and executes every charge in the cycle. Your store never handles sensitive card data.

Shopify is the system of record

Every approved charge generates a real Shopify order with product lines, shipping and taxes. Your inventory, analytics and fulfillment work exactly the same as with any other order.

Reval handles everything in between

The app orchestrates the full lifecycle: signup, tracking of every charge, pauses, product changes, add-ons and cancellations — all without you having to step in manually.

Why Shopify remains your source of truth

Unlike solutions that build their own parallel order database, Reval writes to Shopify on every relevant event. That means:
  • Your Shopify sales reports reflect real subscription revenue.
  • Your fulfillment system (whether Shopify Shipping, a 3PL or a manual flow) receives the orders automatically.
  • Taxes and shipping rates are queried live from Shopify on every cycle — they aren’t frozen at signup time.
  • Your customers show up as normal Shopify customers, with their complete order history.

What you can manage from Reval

Reval goes well beyond basic recurring billing. Both you and your subscribers get tools to manage each subscription’s lifecycle:

Multi-product and variants

A subscription can include several products. Customers can swap variants (for example, change size or flavor) from the portal, without cancelling.

Quantity changes

Subscribers can adjust the quantity of each item in their active subscription. The next charge reflects the updated price.

One-time add-ons

A customer can add a one-off product to their next cycle. It’s charged immediately and ships together with the recurring order.

Customer-built boxes

Dynamic or fixed-price boxes where the customer picks what they receive in each delivery, with volume discounts (on dynamic ones) and editing from the portal. See Boxes.

Pause, resume and cancel

Customers can pause and resume from their portal, or cancel while stating a reason (if the plan has a minimum delivery commitment, both options unlock once it’s completed). With Surprises you can reward loyalty —per-cycle discounts or gifts— to reduce churn.
